Equipment Profiles: Organize your spaces
An equipment profile is a list of your gear, organized per place. Have a profile for your gym, house, park, or travel-gym bag. Simply start a session and pick which equipment profile you have to work with at that moment.
Train at a full-fledged gym, or with just you and the floor
Got a doorway pull-up bar and a few bands? Is your garage renovated into a personal gym? Got nothing but the floor and some ambition? All are perfectly fine! Build your profiles by choosing weights, bands, a chair or bench, barbell, parallettes, machines or more. Don’t worry if you’re starting from nothing, the app is perfectly capable of building a well-rounded routine focused on bodyweight exercises that need nothing but a little space and time. After all, Calistree was originally intended primarily for calisthenics.
Our caveat here is pulling, and it comes down to physics. There aren’t many bodyweight exercises that cater to pulling because you simply need something to pull against. Go no-equipment and you may not see any “pull” exercises but add on a bar and a resistance band, and pulling will come right back to your routine.
Searchable and Functional in the Free Plan
While building a routine, you may decide you have a specific piece of equipment you want to get more comfortable with, like the rings. Use equipment as a filter to select rings as the only equipment to view all of the exercises in our library that use the rings! Lastly, you can create 2 equipment profiles in the free plan, and up to 50 in the PRO Plan.

This app is fantastic! Simple and intuitive to use but with a wide range of controls to tailor your calisthenics routine. After testing out several other competing apps it was an easy decision to delete the rest and stick with Calistree. The ability to select the equipment you have available at various locations is very helpful. The workout structure is easy to follow with a host of handy tools. Your personal record is shown for each exercise as well as your previous number of reps performed in your most recent workout. Features like this really help push you to progress. This is a wonderful app that I can’t rate highly enough, well done!

Amazing resource for discovering exercises based on available equipment and logging/tracking workouts (including in a grease the groove style). And free with no ads. Totally usable without the subscription as well - but support the developers if you find value in the app; clearly, a lot has been put into it. Great job all around. 👏

The app is not bloated. No adds covering up the screen. The free version gives you so much for free. The videos show examples on each exercise and also shows how you should not do. Great with different equipment places so you can do workouts with what gear you have available where you are.
Questions
What if I have no equipment at all?
You can still train fully. A large part of the library is floor and bodyweight work that needs nothing but space. The one thing bodyweight cannot give you is pulling, which needs something to hang from, so a session with no bar and no rings will not include pull-ups or rows. A doorway pull-up bar or a resistance band is enough to open that up.
Can I keep different equipment for the gym and for home?
Yes, that is the point of profiles. Keep one for each place you train, home, gym, park, travel, and pick which one applies when you start a session. The generator and the search then match wherever you are. The free plan holds 2 profiles and PRO holds 50.
Does it handle resistance bands?
Yes, down to the individual band. Add the bands you own and leave out the ones you do not, and the app only uses band assistance and band resistance where they actually fit your set.
Are gym machines supported?
Yes. Cable and plate-loaded machine exercises are in the library, and once machines are part of your gym profile the generator can program them alongside your free-weight and bodyweight work.
