Clutch Flag Progressions

There is something about a vertical pole and a horizontal body that just looks really cool… With the Clutch Flag, you can do that without needing an insane amount of strength, and with those progressions, you can easily work you way up to the full flag. Happy flagging!
- Stand by a sturdy vertical beam, place the closest hand against the beam at the level of your hips and wrap the other arm around the beam such that your forearm is pressing against it.
- Support the side of your body with your lower elbow and pull with your upper arm to lift yourself off the ground.
- In this intermediate step towards the Tuck Clutch Flag, your body is hanging at an angle and your legs are tucked to your chest.
- Stand by a sturdy vertical beam, place the closest hand against the beam at the level of your hips and wrap the other arm around the beam such that your forearm is pressing against it.
- Support the side of your body with your lower elbow and pull with your upper arm to lift yourself off the ground.
- Hold yourself parallel to the ground with both legs tucked to your chest.
3- One-leg hanging clutch flag
- Stand by a sturdy vertical beam, place the closest hand against the beam at the level of your hips and wrap the other arm around the beam such that your forearm is pressing against it.
- Support the side of your body with your lower elbow and pull with your upper arm to lift yourself off the ground.
- In this intermediate step towards the One-Leg Clutch Flag, your body is hanging at an angle, one leg is extended and aligned with your torso and the other leg is tucked to your chest.
- Stand by a sturdy vertical beam, place the closest hand against the beam at the level of your hips and wrap the other arm around the beam such that your forearm is pressing against it.
- Support the side of your body with your lower elbow and pull with your upper arm to lift yourself off the ground.
- Hold yourself parallel to the ground with one leg fully extended and the other leg tucked to your chest.
5- Half-layout hanging clutch flag
